My first year was focused on introducing me to the world of computing, setting up the basic knowledge and skills I would build on in the years to come. My curriculum included core subjects such as Introduction to Computing, Computer Programming 1 & 2, Computer Systems Servicing, Logic Design, Mathematics in the Modern World, and Information Technology Fundamentals. I learned the history and importance of technology, how computers work internally, basic coding concepts using C and C++ languages, how to assemble and disassemble computer hardware, install operating systems and software, and troubleshoot common hardware and software issues. I also learned how to organize data, create simple programs, and understand the logic behind how systems function lessons that became the backbone of all my future studies.
2024 - 2025
NORTHEASTERN MINDANAO COLLEGES
By my second year, the lessons became more technical and hands-on, shifting from basic concepts to actual development and system creation. I took subjects like Object-Oriented Programming (Java), Database Management Systems (MySQL & Oracle), Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Computer Networks 1, Systems Analysis and Design, and Human-Computer Interaction / UI/UX Design a subject I particularly enjoyed because of my interest in design and layout. I learned how to create more complex programs using object-oriented principles, design and manage databases to store and organize large amounts of data, build functional and visually appealing websites, understand how computer networks connect and communicate, and analyze how systems are planned, designed, and built. I also practiced designing user-friendly *3interfaces, applying what I knew about UI/UX to make projects not just functional but also easy and pleasant to use.

NORTHEASTERN MINDANAO COLLEGES
Entering my third year, I moved into more specialized and advanced areas of IT, focusing on skills that are directly used in the industry today. My subjects included Advanced Web Development (PHP, Laravel, React), Mobile Application Development (Android / Flutter), Software Engineering, Information Security & Assurance, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Capstone Project Planning & Management. I learned how to build dynamic, database-driven websites and web applications, create mobile apps for smartphones, follow proper software development life cycles, secure systems and data from threats, and solve complex programming problems efficiently. This was also the year I started working on our capstone project proposal, where we planned a system that would solve a real problem in our community or school +combining everything I had learned from my first two years.
